Technically a vegetable, the red stalks of rhubarb are often treated more like a fruit by being adding to dishes with lots of sugar or other sweeteners. Rhubarb’s flavor is more tart making it an interesting addition to pies, jams, and sauces. We don’t just eat it because we love desserts, though, it has a lot of health benefits too. Rhubarb is high in vitamin C, B-Complex vitamins, fibre, calcium, and potassium. Our frozen rhubarb was grown in Canada and is pre-chopped and cleaned so all you have to do is start baking!
