Rob - the self-proclaimed Head Seafood Dude at Effing Seafood - decided to follow his dreams and get back into the world of seafood in 2016. Growing up in a commercial fishing family, he started fishing at a young age. After college, he became the general manager of 2 shellfish farming companies on the west coast of Vancouver Island. He grew the oyster named the Effingham in Effingham Inlet for 11 years -- this is the namesake for Effing Seafoods. Now operating with 2 employees, he's working tirelessly to source the absolute best seafood. Rob takes pride in having the highest quality fish, sourced from fishermen that he's built strong relationships with.
Gemstone Grass-fed Beef is a 4th generation farm located about 150km east of Calgary in Gem, Alberta. Owned and operated by the Doerksen family since 1932, Gemstone Grass-fed Beef uses principles of regenerative farming to improve the health of their cattle, their land, and the families who choose their unbeatable grass-fed beef products. Regenerative agriculture focuses on improving soil health and biodiversity, which Gemstone achieves through a process called rotational grazing - their cattle are moved from paddock to paddock, so they always have fresh new grass to eat and never over-graze. Gemstone cattle are born and raised on their farm with a forage-only diet, in a low-stress, natural environment. They are free to roam, and have access to wind shelter and straw bedding for warmth when needed.

Originally founded in 2007, Two Rivers quickly became the premiere meat supplier to restaurants across B.C. The Shop boasts an artisan butchery — utilizing the time-honoured and traditional seam-butchery techniques that result in more authentic and flavourful results. A glass-walled dry-age room, and an adjacent deli counter that stocks house-made artisanal charcuterie.

After meeting in London, England following culinary college, Ray and Nancy Nolan began their partnership in life and in business, cooking for many notable figures including the Queen of England, and Nelson Mandela. Settling down in Vulcan, AB in 2012 to start their family, they also began raising lambs - their flock has since grown to over 400! Raising their flock in a 12,500 square foot barn, with free access to roam outdoors and live natural lives is integral to the Lambtastic operation. Their commitment to maintaining high ethical standards, and raising healthy, tender lamb is why we are so thrilled to partner with them to provide flavourful, high-quality protein.
We are dedicated to practicing sustainability for our planet and providing respectful husbandry for our animals. We produce grain to feed our flocks and use the straw to provide fresh bedding in our barns. In addition, we fertilize our crops with our composted bedding and manure to build the fertility of our soil.
