What we had before is gone. We’re waking up to a reality that’s different. We’ve seen the emptiness – the streets and schools, the stores and the shelves. Our national supply chains weren’t built for this. They’ve been disrupted. We’ve been disrupted.

But disruption isn’t failure.

We have the opportunity to learn from the past, and pave the way for a brighter future. To learn from people in our communities and the generations before them who worked hard to do things the right way. And now, our eyes are open.

Our supply chains are changing - becoming regional, closer to home. Together, we’re adapting and rebuilding. We’re reshaping how we think about food and how it gets to our home. Where it comes from and how it’s grown. The people who make it possible.

We’re connecting more than we ever have before with each other, and with the products and services our families rely on. We’re connected to the delivery drivers and logistics workers, cashiers and local farmers - our neighbours who have always been the backbone of our community.

When we stand united, we’re not strangers. When we support one another, we thrive. Our tomorrow may look different, but together we’re coming back stronger than ever. To those who have protected us, to those who have worked on the front lines, and to everyone helping this beautiful country move forward – we thank you.
