Pepper Bacon
This is the traditional bacon you know and love with a peppery kick! Cut from the pork belly and then salt-cured, this "streaky bacon" gets its rich flavour from the bright white lines of fat running down each strip. This top-quality pepper bacon comes straight from our friends at Hillview Heritage Pork who have been raising vegetarian-fed pigs on lush farmland around Rosebud, Alberta since 1991.
COOKING TIP: Chefs and bacon enthusiasts alike agree that baking bacon in the oven gives the best results. Simply place the bacon on a parchment-lined baking sheet, then put it in a cold oven and set the temperature to 400°F (204°C). Cook until it reaches your desired crispiness. We recommend starting with a 13-minute timer and adjusting from there.
