Asparagus and Mozzarella Stuffed Chicken Breast
We love chicken breasts for their nutrition benefits and versatility. Chicken can perform well in pretty much any recipe, of any style, and prepared in any manner of cooking. But let’s face it, chicken on its own can be pretty bland. One great way to kick chicken up to the next level is to stuff them with veggies and cheese but who has time to prepare stuffed chicken breasts? Don’t worry. Our friends at Kingsland Hutterite Colony have done all the hard work for you with their chicken breasts that are pre-stuffed with asparagus & mozzarella. These gluten-free chicken breasts are made with free-run, Hutterite chickens that were fed a vegetable and grain mix diet in New Dayton, Alberta. They are hand trimmed, hand stuffed with freshly grated asparagus and creamy mozzarella, and air-chilled to lock in the freshness. They will make you see that chicken is definitely not boring.
COOKING TIP: As mentioned, chicken is usually pretty versatile but we definitely think that these cook best in the oven in order to keep that yummy cheese from melting out and puddling in your frying pan (or worse, the bottom of your grill). Cooking them couldn’t be easier: just defrost them in the fridge, put them on a baking sheet in a 400℉ oven for 30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165℉ and serve them beside steamed veggies and scalloped potatoes.
