Steak and Mushroom Pie
You already know that we love grass-fed and finished steak but you should also know that we love pie. That means that this steak and mushroom pie from our friends at Mile One Eating House in Pemberton, BC is a match made in heaven. They start with locally raised BC beef and braise it with onions, carrots, tomato, and spices. Then they add a variety of BC wild and cultivated mushrooms like shiitake, oyster, cremini, portobello, velvet oyster, king oyster, and pack it all up in an incredibly flaky crust. Trust us, this 5” pie exceeds even our high expectations.
COOKING TIP: This is pretty easy to make because Mile One did all the hard work for you. First, preheat the oven to 350℉, remove the pie from the packaging, and place it on a baking sheet. Bake for 70 mins or until the internal temp is 167 ℉ and the crust is golden brown. Remember to let it sit for a few minutes to cool down or you will hurt your mouth.
