Chicken Pot Pie
For us, chicken pot pies are total comfort food. Maybe because it reminds us of childhood or maybe it is that they are warm, creamy, and filling. This amazing chicken pot pie is from our friends at Sharman’s Proper Pies, a company that aims to bring traditional English pies to Ontarians and is leading the charge with truly amazing pies. This 5” pie has one of the best flaky crusts we’ve ever tried but it’s not just about the crust! It’s filled with chunks of tender chicken, potatoes, carrots, peas, corn and celery, all covered in a deliciously thick gravy. These are incredible but don’t wait until you need comfort food to try them. Any day can be pie day when they’re this good.
COOKING TIP: These fully prepared pies are pretty easy to cook because Sharman’s Proper Pies does all the hard work for you. You just have to preheat the oven to 400℉, remove the pie from the packaging and place it on the middle rack to bake for 45-60 minutes. Remember that pies like this are screamin’ hot right out of the oven so give it 4-5 minutes just to cool off a bit before cutting into it.
