The Butcher Shoppe restaurant-style hand-made chicken burgers contain only white meat, salt, pepper and garlic (no breadcrumbs or mysterious fillers here!). The chickens are fed a vegetable grain diet free of pesticides, herbicides and GMOs. The birds are always raised here in Ontario without the use of any antibiotics, hormones or steroids. Each 170g (6oz) burger is an excellent source of protein. With only 4g of total fat per burger and zero trans fat, swapping out chicken for beef burgers is a great way to reduce both total and saturated fat intake.
Toss these chicken burgers on the grill or in the oven just like you would a traditional beef burger. You're looking for an internal temperature of 74°C (165°F) to know they're done. Buffalo-style hot sauce is a good way to add some heat to your burger or perhaps some salsa or guacamole. Onions and tomatoes also sound good. Maybe some pickles and lettuce. We're getting carried away, but you get the point.
