Turkey Sausages
If you think that turkey is boring, these gluten-free sausages from The Butcher Shoppe will quickly change your mind. These simply seasoned sausages are made with only four ingredients: turkey raised without antibiotics, salt, pepper, and garlic - that's it. Because it has a little bit of dark (turkey thigh) added to the light meat (turkey breast), it won't dry out while it's cooked! If you are looking for a poultry sausage that is lower in fat, calories, and sodium than most red meats, but still offers a flavour that will have you craving more, look no further than these turkey sausages.
COOKING TIP: These salt, pepper, and garlic turkey sausages are very versatile and work great with a variety of cooking methods. First thaw overnight in the fridge, or under running water for about 30 min. We like cooking them on the grill before wrapping them in a bun topped with spicy mayo, pickles, onions and mustard, but feel free to use your own favourite toppings. If you want to cook them in a preheated 400°F oven, toss them in an oven-safe dish and cook them for about 20-30 minutes. You can always cook them a little longer, depending on how crispy you like the outside. You could cook them in a frying pan, either as a sausage or as a sausage patty for an egg sandwich by cutting open the casing and squeezing the meat into a patty.
