Coho Salmon Filets
Coho Salmon are a mild-flavored lean fish like Atlantic salmon. Springhill's Farm salmon are raised on the family’s small-scale farms in Grey County in southwestern Ontario. The salmon enjoy plentiful amounts of fresh water, low densities, and sustainable diets. Their rich taste makes them a delightful choice for the whole family. Coho salmon is an excellent source omega-3 fatty acids and other essential nutrients like vitamin D and low in cholesterol. This product comes with 4 individually frozen fillets in a resealable bag for your convenience.
COOKING TIP: Weather you are in the mood for patties, grilled or poached salmon you do not have to sacrifice flavor if you want a quick and easy meal. We like to keep it simple by thawing on a plate overnight in your fridge. When you are ready to cook, preheat oven to 400F. While the oven is preheating grab the tinfoil and a baking dish (make sure your piece of tinfoil is big enough to seal the salmon in!). In small bowl whisk together 1 tbsp lemon juice, garlic, dill & olive oil and set aside. Rinse and pat dry salmon with paper towel. Brush olive oil mixture on both sides of fillet and place skin side down in center of tinfoil. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper and top with a couple of lemon slices. Close up foil packet, place of baking dish and bake in oven until an internal temperature of 145F (approx. 20 min). Serve with your favorite seasonal veggies. Enjoy!
