We're not here to get political, we just want to do what truLOCAL has always done: back Canadian farmers and keep great meat on Canadian tables and keep Canadian food budgets in Canada. Contest Timeline

  • Contest Start: Monday, October 5th, 2026 at 6:00 AM ET
  • Contest End: Saturday, October 31st, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET
  • Winner Selection: Winners will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries on or around November 5th, 2026. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Each entrant can win at most 1 of the 5 prizes. Winners will be notified by email shortly following the draw.

Eligibility

Eligible entrants meet the following criteria:

  • Are 19 years of age or older
  • Are a resident of Canada (excluding Quebec)
  • Are not an employee of truLOCAL, its affiliates, or their family members
  • Are not affiliated with truLOCAL in any professional or business capacity
  • Residents of Quebec are not eligible to participate in this contest

Terms & Conditions

  • No purchase necessary to enter or win
  • No Purchase Bonus Entry Method: to receive 20 additional entries without making a purchase, email an original essay of at least 100 words answering "What are the benefits of purchasing locally produced Canadian Meat & Seafood?" to marketing@trulocal.ca, including your full name and the email address used for your contest entry. Essays must be received between the Contest Start and Contest End. Limit of one essay submission per person. Incomplete, non-responsive, or non-original submissions will be disqualified.
  • Additional entries earned by essay are equal in value to additional entries earned by purchase. A maximum of 20 additional entries per person may be earned through purchase and/or essay combined.
  • Recurring subscription orders processed during the contest qualify for purchase entries. Purchase entries are void if the qualifying order is cancelled or refunded before the draw.
  • Winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries
  • There will be 5 winners. Each prize consists of 1 truLOCAL Anti-Tariff Value Box and delivery (approximate retail value $279; 1 of 5 boxes available).
  • In the event that we are unable to ship the prize to a winner, the winner will instead be awarded a truLOCAL gift card valued at $279
  • Prizes are non-transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash (however, gift card can be used to purchase gifts for others)
  • Entrants must correctly answer, unaided, the mathematical skill-testing question on the entry form. Entrants who answer incorrectly are not eligible to win, and any additional entries associated with their entry will also be ineligible.

How do I get more entries?

After you enter, you'll receive a unique referral link. Share this link with friends and family - you'll earn 5 additional entries for every person who enters the contest using your link and 1 additional entry for sharing the link. You'll also earn 20 additional entries for making a purchase at truLOCAL.ca (additional purchases do not earn additional entries). When will the winner be announced?

Winners will be selected shortly after the contest closes on October 31st, 2026, by a random draw taking place on or around November 5th, 2026, and will be contacted directly via email. We will publicly announce that winners have been chosen, but will keep the winner's identity private if they prefer.

Can I transfer my prize to someone else?

Prizes are non-transferrable. However, if you are awarded the gift card alternative, you can use it to purchase gifts for others.

What if I don't want my name published as the winner?

We respect your privacy. While we will announce that a winner has been selected, if you prefer to remain anonymous, we will not publicly share your name or personal information.
