They’re finally here! Wild-caught, shell-off, tail-off, deveined Argentine red shrimp have joined the truLOCAL line-up and are ready to be added to your next box. Wild-caught from the clear, cold waters of the Atlantic Ocean, Argentine red shrimp have rapidly risen in popularity in the last couple years – you’ll definitely see why! The great thing about the red shrimp is that they have a super quick reproduction cycle, making the species sustainable and at a low risk of over-fishing. They are delicious grilled, sautéed, or added to dishes like paella or pasta. For a special date-night dinner, pair it with one of our striploins for a surf & turf meal you won’t forget!
COOKING NOTICE: In their raw form, Argentine red shrimp have a pinkish-red colour that can easily be mistaken for cooked shrimp. Be aware they are UNCOOKED so avoid attempting to consume the shrimp raw. Don’t worry though – they only take a few minutes to cook, so you don’t have to wait too long!
