Sablefish, also known as Black Cod or Butterfish, is rich, buttery, and full of healthy omega-3 fatty acids. Our sablefish was wild-caught off the West Coast of Vancouver Island and smoked in Vancouver by our friends at Organic Ocean. There are only three ingredients: sablefish, salt, and natural hardwood smoke and the fish’s oily flesh makes it perfect for smoking because it doesn’t dry out during the smoking process.  

 

COOKING TIP: This smoked fish is ready to eat and is sashimi-grade quality. Our smoked sablefish is a fantastic snack right out of the package but let’s try to up your game a bit. Try adding it to salads, chowder, pasta sauce, or a charcuterie board. You won’t want to miss the boat of this flavourful catch!
