Organic Steak Cut Potatoes
Our friends at Goldrush Frozen Foods carefully select the finest quality organic potatoes grown in PEI to make these thick cut, plump and tasty steak fry cuts. What sets these frozen potatoes apart from other brands is that they haven’t been previously fried. These potatoes contain only one ingredient……potatoes. So that means they are naturally free of saturated and trans fat, gluten free, and GMO-free. Because these are simply potatoes, they can be used in a multitude of recipes such as thick-cut french fries, stews, soups, casseroles or plain old mashed potatoes.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: You can prepare these from frozen or from thawed, just adjust the time accordingly. We love them baked or air fried. First toss the potatoes in a fat of your choice (olive, avocado, beef tallow, duck fat - it's up to you!) then bake in a 425°F oven for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through, which is an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). If you want to take your steak frites game to the next level, whip up a garlic aioli by combining ½ cup of mayo with 1 clove of minced garlic, a tablespoon of lemon juice, and a pinch of salt and pepper and enjoy!
