You don't need to worry about fillers when it comes to Meadow Creek Sausages & Meat's gluten-free extra lean ground elk. If you're not super familiar with elk, you can expect a flavour slightly richer than beef. It's has a lower fat content compared to beef and is also lower in cholesterol while still getting your daily dose of protein.


COOKING TIP: One of our favourite ways to enjoy ground elk is in an elk version of shepherd’s pie. It's an easy, filling dish that rolls with the punches. Thinking of switching out potato for sweet potato? No problem. Have some leftover spinach? Sautee it with the ground elk. Feeling a bit cheesy? Sprinkle some on top! Shepard's pie is a forgiving dish that's easy to make your own.
