COOKING TIP: It's all in the proof! Remove the croissants from their packaging and place them seam-side down on a lined baking sheet. Lightly mist them with water, cover them loosely, and let them rise in a warm spot for 8 hours. You'll know they're ready when they've doubled in size and spring back slowly when lightly pressed. When ready to cook, preheat the oven to 400°F. Remove the croissant covering and brush with milk or cream, if desired. Reduce heat to 375°F and place the baking sheet with croissants on the middle rack. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes until deep, golden brown, and crisp. Remove from the oven and let cool for 20 minutes before serving.
