Bread stuffing might be our favourite part of the traditional roast turkey meal. There is something about the fluffy texture and savoury flavour of stuffing that we look forward to as soon as the leaves turn colour and the pumpkin spiced everything bombards us in the fall. Our culinary friends at Carbon Bar make this stuffing with diced, fresh ACE bakery buns. First they sauté onion and celery in butter before adding in some chicken stock, egg, herbs, spices and bread cubes. If you’ve ever made stuffing from scratch, you know how labour intensive it can be to chop, combine and bake everything. If you’ve bought the instant grocery store stuff, you know how salty and artificial it tastes. Let our friends at the Carbon Bar take the hassle out of your holiday meal this year! Just think of all the other things you can do with the time you’ve saved by not having to make the stuffing from scratch this year. Maybe it's time to dust off the fancy stemware before the inlaws arrive!
COOKING TIP: You’ll get this stuffing in an aluminium bakeable tray. Just thaw it in your fridge overnight and pop it in a 300°F oven for about 20-30 minutes, or until a minimum internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). This stuffing is so versatile, you can serve it with roast turkey, chicken, or pork. If you’ve got any leftovers, add them to your roast turkey sandwich along with some cranberry sauce and mayo.
