1. Try somewhere new

How many of us go out to the same few places week after week, never exploring what’s in our own backyard? Whether it’s a spa, a new brewery, or an interesting café, don’t be afraid to give it a try. There are tons of fantastic spots to check out – and when you’re calling on the shots, you can pick exactly what suits your mood!

2. Try a candlelit dinner for one

Cooking at home may not seem all that glamorous – we have to eat every day! But taking time to prepare a special meal just for yourself can be such a treat. Order your favourite meat online beforehand, and try a splurge option like prime rib, or a burger made from a more unique option like lamb or buffalo. Take it to the next level – use the fancy dishes, light a candle, play some of your favourite music, and enjoy a peaceful (and delicious!) meal alone.

3. Go unplugged

Whether you’re hitting the town or staying in, put the tech away! Avoid texting, calling, or mindlessly scrolling through social media. Instead, read a book or magazine, listen to music, meditate, or write in a journal. Not really your thing? Take in the scenery! Not only is great for both your eyes and your brain to take a break from blue light, it’s also important to take time to breathe, relax, and reflect.
