Cranberry Sauce
This tasty 6 ingredient cranberry sauce has a hint of orange and cinnamon to pair with the sweet sugar and tart cranberries.
Ingredients
- 1 package 340g (12 oz) of frozen cranberries
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup of fresh squeezed or prepared orange juice
- ½ cup of water
- 1 stick of cinnamon or a pinch of ground
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Add the water and orange juice to a saucepan on medium-high heat
- Dissolve the sugar and salt in the liquid
- Stir in the frozen cranberries and bring to a boil
- Reduce heat to a low simmer and cook until the cranberries start to break open, about 5-10 minutes. You may want to crush some berries against the side of the pan with the back of a wooden spoon
- Remove from heat and pour into a bowl to cool
- Refrigerate until ready to serve, it will continue to thicken as it cools
