Buttery Sauteed Green Beans
This green bean recipe is fast and versatile. It pairs well with any protein, especially turkey, beef, lamb or fish.
Ingredients
- 1 500g (17 oz) package of frozen green beans
- 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- Pinch each of salt and pepper
- 1 squeeze (about ½ a teaspoon) of fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Thaw the package of frozen green beans overnight in the fridge or defrost in the microwave
- Heat a large sautée pan over medium-high heat
- Melt the butter
- Add the green beans, and sautee by moving them around for 2-3 minutes
- Add the minced garlic, salt, and pepper and continue to saute until the garlic is fragrant, but before the butter starts to brown
- Turn off the heat, and remove the pan from the element
- Transfer the beans to a serving bowl
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the beans just before serving
