​​Buttery Sauteed Green Beans

This green bean recipe is fast and versatile. It pairs well with any protein, especially turkey, beef, lamb or fish.


  • 1 500g (17 oz) package of frozen green beans
  • 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • Pinch each of salt and pepper
  • 1 squeeze (about ½ a teaspoon) of fresh lemon juice


  1. Thaw the package of frozen green beans overnight in the fridge or defrost in the microwave
  2. Heat a large sautée pan over medium-high heat
  3. Melt the butter
  4. Add the green beans, and sautee by moving them around for 2-3 minutes 
  5. Add the minced garlic, salt, and pepper and continue to saute until the garlic is fragrant, but before the butter starts to brown
  6. Turn off the heat, and remove the pan from the element
  7. Transfer the beans to a serving bowl
  8. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the beans just before serving
